I "think" it will be a good addition. Its gorgeous to look at and very comfortable. The foam they used to make it with is off gassing an irritating chemical. We had to put it outdoors until it becomes safe to bring inside and who knows how long that will be. If you are sensitive to VOC off-gassing, you may want to pass. This one is pretty potent.. Cindy. Hoping this review will be helpful for others since the Q&A on this page is a little confusing: This is a daybed not a sleeper, so this means there’s nothing to pull out or convert here. BUT you could remove the backrests and the pillows and absolutely put a sheet on it to use it as a flat sleeping surface! The backrests are completely separate pieces from the pillows and nothing is attached so everything is flexible. I will say the Chickerell is definitely on the firmer side so if you’re planning to have guests sleep on it a soft mattress topper would be good.
