A beautiful wall clock that combines the fine texture of wood and paper. Thomson Paper has a clock face made of an unique design paper called Mermaid, named after the ripples of the sea, the home of the mermaid. Gentle, pleasant, and with superb choice of color, designer Yuichi Nara creates a three-dimensional numbers on the Thomson Paper's clock face using the iconic Thomson die-cutting machine, used to manufacture puzzles. The edges of the number outlines stamped out are naturally rounded like a tensed water surface and drop soft shadows into the spaces stamped out. Part of the Lemnos Plywood core collection.

We purchased one of these lamps for a whole-home design/build project for one of our clients, and while the lamp is beautiful, the cord etc is quite ugly. Whats not shown in the product photo is the large bulky dimmer thats located a few inches from the lamps base. Even though the dimmer is made from (somewhat) clear plastic, the beautiful colorful base is translucent, so you cant help but notice the large bulky dimmer being so close to it. A much better option would have been to use clear lamp cord, (not white) and a dimmer thats located just below the bulb, so it would out of sight. Both these features have been incorporated into many lamps over many years and they work well and are inexpensive. I plan to have my local lamp shop rewire this as I've described so we don't have to return it. I realize doing so would void the warranty, but its worth it imo. Because doing stuff in the dark can be hard. It's a lamp! No, it won't answer to the adorable pet name you give it or have witty replies to your inane requests (don't worry Alexa, you have job security) but it will fill your room with functional light and deliver it via a thoughtfully proportioned powder-coated steel design.
