I got it on sale and for the price, I think it was overall a decent purchase. It's solid wood (I think poplar) and I appreciate the beveled detail and relief. It was easy to assemble but required 2 people. On the downside, the parts came covered in a weird white powdery substance, which I assume is the result of sanding the white stain. It took a while to wipe it all down with a damp cloth. I'm just hoping it is not toxic. I wish they had more information on the finishes they use. Also, there are some natural dark spots on the wood (mostly on the inside side), which bothered me but not enough to return it. When assembled, the corners are not totally flush. As mentioned in other reviews, the color is not quite right on the product info. In person, it is darker, less saturated and has more grey tones than the photo suggest.. Vanessa. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is that the mattress springs are black. Meaning until you use this as a toddler bed, you need a bed skirt to cover it. Definitely should be white. Everything else is great. My husband and I put it together in about an hour with no issues. I agree with other reviews that the finish scratches easily, so we built it on a blanket.. Anne.
