These bookcases are absolutely THE BOMB. Downsizing our home has been incredibly stressful and making room for my books and dedicated library has not been fun. I was really wary ordering these, but the ladder configuration is genius ( lots of room for bigger books in the bottom) The big surprise is the wonderful drawers which are equipped for file folders. They fit beautifully and close correctly. I am absolutely smitten with these cases - the finish is great, the color is perfect for us - just a number 10 purchase all the way. As far as the product is concerned, I'm happy with the materials, construction, and overall quality. I feel that the online description and photos were accurate. I was somewhat disappointed with the delivery. One edge of the shipping box was wet (not as a result of being placed in water, ice, or snow at the delivery destination.) Additionally, the shelves were not individually wrapped in protective material inside the shipping box, so they were free to bounce around during shipping, and as a result a couple of the shelves suffered some minor abrasions..
