The bench arrived in good condition. It was easy to put together and am happy with how it looks in my bedroom. The reason for the 4 stars is that the lid doesn't stay open. It's beautiful and I get so many compliments! It's not too comfortable, but it's more comfortable than it looks. It arrived with a grey smudge/stain on one side and the upholstery under the bench looks like it was shrink-wrapped to the legs as opposed to stretched over them.
