The linen is a great neutral, maybe slight cooler in tone (not warm). I bought the larger size (44”) first and loved it but it was too big to go with my coffee table. If you’re using this alone, I think the large is great (I especially loved it for being able to put feet up). This is one of the most comfortable chair/seat/stool that I have. The design, the look and the feel are so simple but yet sophisticated. I liked it so much I have ordered a second one for my writing desk. This seat promotes a proper sitting posture. The weight is so light but very sturdy.
