I "think" it will be a good addition. Its gorgeous to look at and very comfortable. The foam they used to make it with is off gassing an irritating chemical. We had to put it outdoors until it becomes safe to bring inside and who knows how long that will be. If you are sensitive to VOC off-gassing, you may want to pass. This one is pretty potent.. Cindy. Excellent quality- I put it together myself and it went fine. The hardest part was lifting the extremely heavy boxes up the stairs by myself! The headboard weighs a lot but the other parts of the bed I was able to bring up individually to make it easier. Assembly took a half hour or so, bed is very sturdy and most importantly, no squeaking! I went back and forth between getting white boucle or the brown but I like the brown.
